De drukke agenda staat vaak vol diverse activiteiten zoals lezingen, workshops, exposities, voorleesdagen en open dagen. Het organiseren van dit soort evenementen vergt veel voorbereiding. Inhoudelijk moet alles kloppen, maar de promotie van de activiteiten behoort hiertoe. Een evenement is immers pas geslaagd als er veel publiek op af komt. In dit artikel geef ik een voorbeeld van een bibliotheek die een Star Wars evenement organiseerde. Hoe pakte zij de promotie aan?

## Externe promotie

Zonder publiek, [geen evenement](https://blog.filmolux.nl/blog/praktijkvoorbeeld-easy-dot-stickers-geven-molenfeesten-smoel) dus ligt de focus allereerst op de promotie naar buiten. Advertenties in lokale media zoals kranten, televisie en radio helpen om het evenement onder de aandacht te brengen. Daarnaast kun je posters door de stad verspreiden op passende locaties, denk aan de boekhandel of schrijfwaren winkelier om het juiste publiek aan te spreken. Online zijn er ook volop mogelijkheden om het evenement te promoten, denk aan een Facebook evenement waarvoor je zoveel mogelijk mensen uitnodigt en eventueel extra promotie met advertenties. Als de buitenwereld geattendeerd is, kun je aan de slag met de interne reclame.

## Interne promotie

Als [bibliotheek](https://blog.filmolux.nl/bibliotheek) trek je veel bezoekers aan. Dat biedt een extra mogelijkheid om je evenement te promoten. Je kunt de bibliotheekinrichting gemakkelijk bij activiteiten betrekken en de aankleding op het thema afstemmen. Dat doe je bijvoorbeeld met tijdelijke reclamestickers die makkelijk aan te brengen én te verwijderen zijn. Want na afloop van het ene evenement, staat de volgende activiteit alweer op de planning. Reclamestickers zijn er allerlei soorten en maten, hoe kies je nu de juiste voor jouw activiteit?

## Dummy-proof: herpositioneerbare folie

Moet het personeel zelf aan de slag met het aanbrengen en verwijderen van reclamestickers? Dan is het slim om te letten op de eigenschappen van de stickers die je uitkiest. Zijn deze herpositioneerbaar zodat ze opnieuw kunnen worden aangebracht als ze scheef geplakt zijn? Blijven er lijmresten achter na verwijderen waardoor de ondergrond schoongemaakt moet worden? Hoe snel kunnen de stickers aangebracht en verwijderd worden? ## Voorbeeld bibliotheekinrichting: Star Wars evenement

De bibliotheek van Krefeld organiseerde in september een Star Wars Read Day. Een dag die in het teken stond van de wereldberoemde films. Echte fans konden er op de foto met karakters uit de films, er werd geknutseld en er werd uiteraard voorgelezen aan iedereen die zijn Star Wars kennis wilde opfrissen. Om dit evenement onder de aandacht van winkelend publiek en bibliotheekbezoekers te brengen, voegde de bibliotheek allerlei tijdelijke reclamestickers toe aan haar inrichting. Zoals je op de foto’s kunt zien, kwam het thema terug in de vorm van raamstickers, vloerstickers en beschrijfbare krijtbordfolie.
